Location: San Francisco, CA

Who we are:
ZURB (www.zurb.com) is looking for a senior designer to join our design strategy team.
We’re a close-knit team that helps companies design better web sites, services, and products online. We’ve been around over 10 years and have over 85 startups in our client roster. Our clients range from large, well-known companies that we’ve helped for years (e.g., Photobucket, Zazzle, the New York Stock Exchange) to brand-new startups just finding their feet (Qik, TinyPic), even our own product called LuckyOliver (www.luckyoliver.com). They all came to us based on our reputation of delivering killer ideas that work. We’re creative thinkers, risk takers and refuse to look at our work as just a job. We like fun projects and constantly push each other to get better at our craft.
We’re located in downtown Campbell, a thriving suburb of the Silicon Valley, where we have parking spaces, a Wii and Twist! (Look it up on Yelp!) A few of us live in San Francisco and a couple others in Santa Cruz, so opportunities for commuting and carpooling are available too if you don’t live nearby. This position is available immediately, pays competitively and is full-time, though we also welcome contractors. We’re a small company, but we provide additional benefits: 100% health insurance, a 401k plan, cell phone, the occasional bocce game, and sushi every couple weeks (Sushi Friday!). We also have fabulous taste in music.
What we’re looking for:
A Senior UI/Designer/Developer/Client Wrangler/Project Lead
In general, we’re hoping for someone with diverse knowledge applicable to the web product design industry—a "generalist-specialist" with skills that overlap ours but also extend what we can already do.
As a Junior Designer, here are some of the things you’d be expected to do:
1. Visual Design – illustrations, icons, compelling visual elements, etc.
2. User Interface/Experience Design – wire-framing, weighting elements, boxes and arrows, flow, great common sense
3. Front-End Development – XHTML/CSS/Javascript, web standards, frameworks like Prototype.js or MooTools would be cool. Experience integrating with Rails would be great.
4. Words – clear explanations, compelling writing, and the occasional clever or funny e-mail
But as a Senior Designer, we want all that and more, baby!
1. Proven Leadership – experience managing projects, deadlines, etc.
2. Client Interaction – comfort level presenting your work to clients and working off of feedback
3. Business Logic– understanding business goals and user needs to effectively craft designs that make these things sing
Ok I’m in! What do I have to do?
If all of this sounds too good to be true, then we’re interested in hearing from you. Here are your next steps:
To apply, send an e-mail to jobs@zurb.com that includes:
1. A catchy subject line
2. URL to your online portfolio
3. A list of your top 3 skills
4. Your resume
That’s it!
