Job Description:
•You will be working with product and program management, other developers and test engineers to build robust, reliable products that meet customer archival, backup and data replication needs.
•The products you will be developing require that you have a strong background in Windows kernel and file system technologies.
•As a senior member of Crossroads technical staff you will have the opportunity to contribute to Crossroads* overall product strategies and tactical plans.
Responsibilities:
•Design, implement and test file system filters for Windows (W2K3, Windows Vista).
•Provide technical leadership for Windows kernel and file system filters related to their use in Crossroads SurePath product line.
•Write and maintain detailed design and interface specifications.
•Work with the test team to develop test specifications for Windows kernel-level components.
•Work with the technical writing team to publish user documentation and release notes.
•Participate in the full product lifecycle, including the collection of market requirements, development of engineering specifications, product development, technical evangelism and customer support.
Requirements:
•B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
•Minimum of 5 years software development experience (C, C , Win32, WDK).
•Expert knowledge of Windows internals (I/O system, cache and memory management), kernel drivers and the NTFS file system.
•Proficiency in Windows kernel-level development. Experience developing Windows file system filters using Microsoft*s MiniFilter technology is a plus.
•Excellent debugging and diagnostic skills. Experience with kernel debugging and diagnostic tools (WinDbg).
•Proficiency with defect tracking software. Experience with Jira is a plus.
•Knowledge of enterprise IT storage systems, including backup/recovery, archiving, and hierarchical storage management. Knowledge of replication, de-duplication and content addressable storage is a plus.
•Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment with both local and remote team members.
•Good organizational and planning skills.
