We are looking for someone to add expertise to an already diverse team of web, media, and database developers; drive change in our organization, guide us in how to implement new technologies and approaches to working on the web; experienced with a wide variety of scripting languages, databases, and platforms. Most of our work is in a Perl-based authoring system using MySQL databases.
Qualifications
· Experience with a variety of web application frameworks and platforms
· Comfortable working in UNIX-like environments (Linux, Solaris)
· Server-side scripting experience (Perl directly applicable. Ruby, Python or PHP a plus. Database design and SQL experience (MySQL and SQL Server directly applicable)
· Strong HTML, XHTML, and CSS
PREFERRED
· Experience with Web services, R.E.S.T, Ruby on Rails application platform
· Skill in JavaScript and AJAX
