Weill Cornell Medical College is looking for a Senior Designer to lead the architecture, design, and implementation phases of dozens of internal applications and tools – including systems involved in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), wikis, blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, online forms, a content management system, and our own various clinical, research, educational and administrative systems. You will create prototypes, wireframes, functional specifications, interface/design mock-ups, and implement your solutions with the assistance of our Web Services Division. You will also work within new and existing applications to implement design and UI/UX solutions.
Mastery of the Adobe suite of tools, hand-coded, semantic XHTML, CSS, and unobtrusive JavaScript, as well as a refined and developed design sense with typography, layout, user interface, and user experience are required. An intuitive sense of how to design enjoyable interactions within the digital world is an absolute must. You report to the Web Division Head and Art Director.
