You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative new mobile products and technologies, including community-based applications (similar to MySpace and Flickr but on the phone), video services, and location-based services (LBS). You will be working on the next-generation of FunMobility’s server technology using the latest technologies and frameworks, including Spring and Hibernate.
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented creative engineer to work with a small team to design and develop features and functionality, write API’s, make performance, scalability and maintainability improvements and play a very active role in the architecture of an exciting social media platform.
Designing and developing complex products and services on schedule.
Participating in the whole software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to product launch
Working with customers and other departments to specify project requirements
Required Skills:
BS in Computer Science from a reputable university
3+ years experience in software programming and engineering
3+ years experience in Java, J2EE
3+ years experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with MVC technologies like SpringMVC, Struts, or JSF
Experience with Web technologies such as JSP, PHP, and RoR
Experience with JavaScript technologies for Ajax and UI such as Prototype, jQuery, Script.aculo.us, or Dojo<
Experience handling dynamic data with Tag Libraries such as JSTL
Experience with Template technologies like Tiles, Velocity, or FreeMarker
Familiar with cross-browser compatibility and web standards<
Experience with Servlet containers like Tomcat, JBoss, or Jetty
Committed to unit and/or functional testing with working knowledge of JUnit and other testing frameworks
Ability to work within an agile development environment
Highly motivated, flexible, self-directed. Able to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, make appropriate decisions and seek input when needed
