This Web Developer is a jack-of-all-trades who’s looking to be involved in more aspects of the business, and get more control of the final product. This individual will join our small, deeply-experienced New York City-based leadership team, and be a key contributor to the development of our powerful new Web platform, focused primarily on pregnancy, parenting and family sharing.
The new Our365 site will be targeted at moms and families who are expecting, or caring for, a new baby. Through our in-hospital perations, Our365 has an impressive annuity of traffic — up to 300,000 new births every month. (By the way, our new site has _nothing_ to do with the site that’s live today. The new Our365.com, launching in December, is an innovative and beautiful thing developed with us by IconNicholson.)
Our365 will offer our audience of new families a range of content and Web 2.0 social networking tools designed to help them “share more” with the people they care about. Users will be encouraged by editorial content and interactive experience to share all the special moments in their family’s development by writing stories, uploading pictures & video, and inviting the special people in their lives to participate. Together, each family group will create an invaluable online keepsake, collaboratively built through everyone’s contributions.
We’re launching the completely new site in December, filled with delightful content and technology. And that’s where the development opportunities start - - we’ll be inventing new experiences every day, both for our audience and for our sponsors.

Responsibilities
· Reports to Senior Producer
· Acts as development lead on various new content development initiatives, User Generated Content, E-commerce and advertising sponsor-driven experiences.
· Be required to coordinate development efforts and communicating across groups, both within immediate team members and shared resources across the company.
· Be responsible for creating and supporting the Web-based application elements used enterprise wide.
· In order to be successful in this role, the applicant must understand the fundamentals of software development, including best practices, but also respect and excel in situations where the business is constantly pushing the technical envelope on innovation.
Qualifications of Ideal Candidate
· 5+ years working as a Web Development professional
· 3+ years of experience working with Web 2.0 technology: CSS2, Javascript, DOM, AJAX, XHTML, Flash ActionScript 3
· Programming experience in C# and Object-oriented Programming (OOP)
· Development experience with ASPX/.NET 2.0 and 3.0 frameworks
· Experience with SQL2005 Server, writing stored procedures and queries
· Extensive experience with Visual Studio 2005
· Experience with Web site security issues
· Expert knowledge of Web standards & best practices, production and optimization
· Experience with content management systems such as Site Core or MS Content Management Server
· Experience integrating ad serving technology such as 24/7 Real Media OAS or DART
· Experience working on advertising projects, including sweepstakes, widgets and mash-ups
· Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2003
· Outstanding communication skills
· Ability to flourish in a fluid, entrepreneurial startup environment
· Nice to haves: Familiar with Adobe Flex, Video/Streaming Media, WCF, SOAP Protocol, Ruby on Rails
· Big bonuses: Sense of humor, passion for technology, thirst for knowledge (and love of babies…!)
