We’re looking for someone who’s rock-solid dependable to develop the front-end of our website from our Bay Area or Los Angeles office. We want creative and passionate people who are proud of their past work. Come build the pages that our users will be recommending to their friends.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the entire product team and designers both here and in our other offices
Convert wire-frames and other ideas into working pages with DHTML, JavaScript, table-less CSS, images, Flash and AJAX components
Work closely with server side engineers to integrate JSP components with HTML and create production ready and scalable final pages
Build the site around a CMS for easy maintenance by our Web Producers
Ensure our application works across all the modern browsers
Brainstorm new project ideas and feature concepts
Requirements:
o 2+ years professional experience in developing the front-end for Web based products
o Knowledge of standard web technologies, including app servers, web servers, browsers, etc.
o HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
o Experience with a major Template engine
o Image generation knowledge (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.)
o Good development habits, process, and intuition
o Entrepreneurial, and self-starting
Desired Skills/Experience:
o JSP/EL/JSTL
o Content Management Systems (CMS) (OpenCms, MoveableType, WordPress, etc.)
o XML
o MySQL or PostgreSQL
o Working on an Entertainment/Consumer site
