G&K’s Internet Development and Architecture team is seeking a Web Developer to add creative pizzazz and to our current eCommerce sites and design and develop new sites from the ground up. Our eCommerce presence is emerging, and we are driving toward the goal of developing a common on-line, customer-facing image. We are looking for your creative and technical expertise to get us there!
In this role, you will be a part of a team of five, in a highly visible role on a highly visible team. Your impact on our eCommerce business will definitely be noticed! You will have the opportunity to work on full lifecycle development – working with the business to design sites from wireframes through coding, testing and production. In this role, you will work with the User Interface about 25% of the time and use your Java skills on the middle and back end about 75%.
To be successful in this role, you will spend about 75% of your time working on the middle and back end and about 25% of your time developing the user interface. We are looking for candidates with 2 - 3 years experience with the following technical skills:
•Java
•CSS
•AJAX Framworks
•HTML/DHTML
•XML
•Javascript
•JSP
•Dreamweaver
•PhotoShop
•Flash
•Tomcat
•Browser compatibility standards
Our ideal candidate will have a mix of the skills and consider him or herself an expert in a few of the technologies, but Java is a must. Also required is a passion to contribute to our eCommerce success! We would also be very interested in reviewing portfolios or screen shots of your favorite work.
