We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering to join our founding team to help build and manage a team of world-class developers designing a revolutionary new platform for consumer awareness and empowerment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building engineering teams and implementing agile processes. The candidate should have hands-on experience designing, building, and managing consumer-facing web tools. We seek an experienced technologist who loves technology, thrives in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment, and doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves. The successful candidate will be one of the first senior employees and will help shape the company from the ground-up.

Responsibilities include:
• Build, manage, and mentor the development team;
• Instill a highly productive, results-oriented, development process;
• Guide fast product releases on tight deadlines;
• Lead the development of our operations, QA, and customer support systems;
• Interact with Product Management, Business Development, and the Board of Directors;
• Identify new technologies to apply to our technical challenges;

Requirements:
• Extensive and demonstrable experience building engineering teams and managing large multi-tiered consumer-facing web applications;
• Experience with agile methodologies and test-driven development;
• Experience building scalable, flexible, robust, and secure architectures for high traffic (>1,000,000 page views/day) applications;
• Skilled at identifying, hiring, and retaining top technical talent;
• Willingness to wear multiple hats, roll up your sleeves, bang on the code when needed, and push products out the door;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and technical team management.
