Job Description:
Photobucket is looking to hire a highly experienced Vice President of Business Development. This person will manage a team and focus on structuring and negotiating deals that drive revenue and site traffic. This person should possess the ability to be creative in finding the right partners to drive the company’s business objectives. Candidates must have substantial experience negotiating deals and knowledge of online business practices with the ability to be creative in deal structures. This position will be a part of the executive team and report directly to the President of Photobucket. The ideal candidate will have a strong business development background, with proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving, creativity and mature interpersonal communication, and will show a clear knowledge and understanding of the social media space. Ability to manage resources is critical; excellent team and cross-functional skills are essential; must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment; must work well with senior management and have a strong ability to carry oneself.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a business development team to drive company objectives
• Research and evaluate market trends
• Prepare presentations, financial projections, and competitive analysis
• Identify, develop and negotiate business development relationships to grow revenue, audience, traffic and usage of Photobucket
• Monitor and track performance of Business Development relationships to measure ROI of resources
• Interface with product and technology teams to identify deals that would enhance the product offerings of Photobucket.
• Interface with the sales team to drive partnerships that have advertising revenue components
• Analyze the financial impact of potential partnerships and structure terms that mitigate risk and optimize revenue and profit
• Work with legal to negotiate and draft agreements
• Work with the marketing team to develop public relations strategies with partnerships
Qualifications:
• Candidates must possess the following:
• 7+ years of Internet business development experience with social networking and new media experience
• Undergraduate Degree
• An in-depth understanding of the Internet, developing media platforms and the associated business model
• Superior management, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally at all organizational levels
• Extensive deal negotiation and client management experience with the ability to structure complex business transactions
• Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
• Strong financial modeling experience and presentation skills
• Passion for online media, technology and social networking
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as set personal goals and manage time
