Job Title: QA/Test Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and improve quality assurance processes in all phases of the development cycle
- Evaluate software requirements and develop test plans and procedures based on business and functional requirements and to ensure continuation of existing functionality
- Develop, document and execute test procedures
- Work with designers, developers, product managers, and project managers, to ensure complete and proper product testing
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies and drive adoption of high priority/high value improvements by gaining support and buy-in within the development/customer experience teams
- Coordinate the development of cross team quality processes and documentation
- Assist in design and development of automation strategy and infrastructure, test tool evaluations and implementations
- Participate in defect triage and documentation throughout development and product life-cycle
- Prioritize defect resolution based on impact to sales, customer experience and impact to ongoing projects
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development or testing of web, e-commerce and/or enterprise software applications required
- Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies
- Ability to apply industry best practices and standards when project requirements are lacking
- Experience with web application technologies and protocols. HTTP, JavaScript, XML, Web Services, HTTP, TCP/IP a plus
- Experience executing/maintaining automated test tools/scripts
- Experience testing for reliability, performance and scalability a plus
- Experience with PHP and/or Flash is a plus
