This position serves as a Russell-wide consultant for user interface (UI) and usability issues. Acting as a vocal customer advocate and champion, you’ll work across teams to ensure that Russell’s Web sites and Web applications map to user needs and deliver a compelling user experience.

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

* Taking lead role in advising business units on best UI practices for Web sites and Web applications
* Managing and leading a team of user experience professionals
* Creating a collaborative environment, serving as a mentor, assigning and overseeing the work of a team
* Driving user interface designs from conceptualization through prototyping to implementation
* Conducting task/workflow analyses of existing and emerging user work practices to create specifications for every action, interaction and result and to translate requirements into a functional user interface design
* Communicating UI requirements, best practices and guidelines to developers and designers
* Performing evaluations of Web sites and Web applications

The successful candidate will bring the following experience and skills:

* 5-8 years of professional experience in corporate Web site and Web application user interface design, project management and usability testing
* Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
* HTML/SharePoint/Interwoven TeamSite skills as well as the ability to create UIs for Web sites and applications
* Demonstrated skills with task/workflow analyses, functional specification creation and UI design standards
* Superb project management skills to successfully organize and complete multiple projects
* Ability to effectively lead and mentor a team of professionals and prioritize resources and projects
* Solid understanding of Russell’s value proposition and brand strategy and online branding principles
