WorldLearn is looking for a User Experience Designer to shape the design of their online eLearning application. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to create compelling user experiences. At WorldLearn, you won’t just be designing around others’ ideas: You’ll have the authority to turn your own ideas and innovations into a design that will directly impact the end users’ experience.
Responsibilities
• Gather requirements from a variety of sources and translate them into design directions via user scenarios, wireframes, and screen mockups.
• Improve the user understanding of non-design teammates through the creation of personas, task analyses, and user interaction models.
• Work closely with engineering, domain experts and QA to manage the development process from design through release.
• Build and manage relationships with global teams, including effectively communicating project requirements to geographically dispersed team members.
• Help to foster a creative environment within the organization.
Qualifications
• Masters Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or similar field (or similar experience).
• 2-5 years design experience on web projects that shows a track record of innovation and advocating for the user as well as an understanding of web standards and constraints.
• Strong Visual Design skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to respond quickly and deliver consistently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in rapid UI prototyping, both paper (sketches) and digital.
• Experience using CSS to define the visual style of a web application.
• Experience with dashboard design or other data visualization user experiences desirable, but not required.
• Must be eligible and available to work in the US.
