The individual will contribute to the design, organization, labeling, navigation, and indexing systems to support navigation, searching, and browsing through very large, highly complex, and comprehensive Web sites and applications across a globalized and localized infrastructure.

This job combines concepts from usability research, user interface design, library science, and information architecture.

You should have strong business analyst and project/program management skills and expect to participate in and design user research and usability test activities.

You should have a proven record of conceptualizing, developing and delivering state-of-the-art user interface for software products. You should be able to identify opportunities for improvement on our external web sites.

Responsibilities
- Conduct user centered design and analysis for web sites, portals and web applications.
- Identify the key usability weaknesses in an existing product. Recommend and design user experience enhancements in subsequent releases.
- Create and design user interfaces, information architecture and navigation using a structured methodology for information design.
- Manage web site and application functionality (project or program level management) from conception to deployment.
- Develop high-level conceptual models of business processes and perform functional and task analysis to determine transaction flow.
- Create or assist in development of materials for usability and communicate testing results.
- Work with developers and business stakeholders to ensure adherence to design documentation and usability requirements.
- Write documentation for end users.

Requirements:
- 5-7 years managing web-based user experience/information architecture.
- Project management skills
- Excellent communications skills.
- Expertise with web concepts, trends, best practices and procedures.
- HTML / User Interface design principles.
- Web Usability standards.
- Design research methodologies
- Experience project management.
- Ability to translate research, heuristic evaluations and findings into experience specification.
- Ability to prototype navigation models, interaction designs and wireframes for online systems.
- Experience with cross-platform design.
- Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint.
