Usable Security Systems is looking for a world-class engineer to lead our front-end development. Join a small team that is passionate about solving one of the most important problems in computing—building security systems that people can use. You’ll be the lead architect, designer and implementer of Usable’s front-end systems, work with the latest technologies (and problems) and have great autonomy in your work.
A good description of you:
- You want to build systems that people love to use.
- You’re an expert in the languages and standards of the web: Javascript, Actionscript 3.0, Flash, Flex, DOM, D/XHTML, CSS
- You know how to build browser extensions and add-ons.
- You have good user interaction instincts and can respond rapidly to user feedback. You are accustomed to working closely with user interaction and graphics designers.
- You have a graduate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, human-computer interaction, computer/network security, and/or distributed systems.
- Are active and visible in the technical community through open source and standards contributions or publishing and speaking.
- You can write and communicate effectively and enjoy working with other people, both technical and non-technical.
- You’re sophisticated about software development, including the tools, process, team, and community aspects.
- You’re a leader. You can build the first version of a new system and steward its future development.
