Software Development Programmer - Surveying Applications

Be a key technical member of the survey development team working to envision, design, and develop cutting-edge survey applications. ESRI is looking for individuals interested in being part of a challenging and exciting group helping to bring the highest quality GIS software to market. If you have a solid software engineering background, core programming skills, and a passion for development this opportunity could be for you.

Responsibilities:
Envision, design, and develop software for survey solutions, working with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile, and ArcGIS Desktop.
Work closely with programmers, product engineers, and business partners to provide cutting-edge solutions for ESRI customers.
Apply good software design and development practices in daily activities.
Write comprehensive technical specifications and support documentation.
Actively and effectively participate in various activities within the software development cycle.

Requirements:
B.S., M.S., or Ph. D. degree in computer science, geography, surveying, or a GIS-related field.
Three or more years of experience in design and development.
Strong Windows background.
In-depth knowledge of C++ and COM technology.
Ability to clearly analyze/describe a problem and propose a solution.
Excellent problem solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
Ability to work with a team in a constantly challenging environment.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

Recommendations:
Experience with GIS, surveying, and/or cadastral applications.
Knowledge of C#, .NET, and MFC/WIN32 technology.
Knowledge of commercial RDBMS software.
Ability to rapidly prototype applications to showcase new ideas.
