Tideway requires an enthusiastic individual to help with all aspects of IT within the company. The successful candidate must be willing and eager to learn, possess a positive ‘can do attitude’ and have a desire to use technology to solve business problems. You will be working within a well-established IT Support team based in London and New York and will be required to assist where necessary in the day to day workings of the broader Technical Support/Training team.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide operational support to all departments, supporting and maintaining the Company’s user and multi platform server infrastructure and business applications.
*Able to assist the IT Support team working with the company’s core technology (including laptops, desktops, servers, printers, PDAs, networks, internet connectivity, website, office/productivity and business productivity tools) with minimal supervision
* Logging requests into Helpdesk tool and work within internal Service Level Agreements for case resolution
*Assist Customer Support team in appliance configuration, building and delivery responsibilities
*Assisting with IT projects on an ad hoc basis
Key Skills & Knowledge
*Smart with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
*Must have experience with Windows (XP/2000/2003) in domain environments
*Knowledge of VoIP telephone systems and administration
*Experience of networking in general i.e. IP, DHCP, DNS, administration and configuration of Firewalls, Routing, Web server configuration, VPNs
*Good working knowledge of security: user/group administration in Windows and UNIX (Active Directory) and LDAP
*Knowledge of VBScript, database technologies and Web authoring languages
*Knowledge of back up (ideally Backup Exec) and wireless networking preferred
*Knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning and back up strategies advantageous
Experience & Qualifications
*Previous experience in an IT related and IT Support experience is a bonus
