True North is an independent interactive and direct agency in New York and San Francisco. We combine creativity, technology, and data to produce pioneering, award-winning campaigns for national clients in movies, TV, DVDs, credit cards, consumer products, and business services. Much of our work extends across channels, combining online elements like ads, email, websites and databases with traditional media such as direct mail, print, and radio.
We are looking for a smart, experienced producer to organize and coordinate interactive projects. These include websites, but also landing pages, minisites, databases, and other elements linked to online advertising and email. This person needs that rare ability to balance both ends of the project spectrum â the vision to understand strategy and architecture plus the organizational savvy to make sure details get executed right. She or he will be involved in projects from conception and pitch through architecture, design, execution, testing, and deployment. Hands-on skills are valued, but this position for the most part involves orchestrating others rather than doing directly.
As a Web Producer you will:
-Organize complex projects across time using appropriate development methodologies
-Manage resources, schedules, and documentation to keep projects on time and budget
-Work with Technical lead and vendors to create development strategy and project requirementsâ¨
-Work with technical groups to write project documents including scoping, testing, QA, and security plans that can be delivered to the client
-Oversee implementation of HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript coding framework in line with creative designs and layouts
-Communicate with creative, technical, account, and management smoothly and frequently
-Collaborate creatively across departments, clients, formats, and genres
-Consult with account and new biz teams to lend expertise on technical pitches
-Present ideas and architecture clearly and persuasively to management and clients
What’s required:
-Strong command of project management principles, processes, standards, and tools.
-Strong experience working with all agency players, including creative, technical, account staff on the inside, as well as clients, vendors, and partners on the outside.
-Understanding of information design and architecture and how it supports the user experience.
-Ability to write and speak clearly and to communicate complex systems visually.
-Comfort in thinking speculativelyâin lending expertise even in new or unclear areas.
-A professional bearing with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
