TheFind, Inc., the award-winning and growing shopping search engine company, is looking for a UI designer with strong user interaction experience and a versatile web design aesthetic to help design and build our family of vertical shopping search sites. You will work closely with marketing, engineering, and business development team members to bring user interface and design ideas from concept to working perfection. Projects range from user interaction and data visualization design to general site/page design and UI component skinning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ability to think strategically about new design paradigms and new feature sets
•Versatile design aesthetic
•Strong understanding of user interaction concepts
•Awareness of latest web development techniques/pitfalls and how to design for/around them
•Focus on maintaining consistent interaction paradigms across the site
•Prototyping of designs for evaluation and communication
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 4+ years of experience designing user-friendly, web-based interfaces
- A working knowledge of the technical capabilities and limitations of front-end web technologies (XHTML/CSS, AJAX, Flash, JavaScript, etc)
- Previous e-commerce experience
* Strong ability to turn usability testing results into actionable recommendations - Ability to work on multiple tight-deadline projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail orientated
