The Point is a venture-backed startup that helps people organize group action.
We are looking for a Web UI developer with very strong XHTML/CSS/Javascript skills and a solid understanding of modern web standards.
The ideal candidate will:
- be able to build a world-class web UI implementation using modern web standards.
- be able to create a strategy for clean css, semantic markup and clear, unobtrusive behavior that works across multiple modern browsers.
- be able to contribute to visual design (UI elements, layout, typography), IA and UX.
- have a working knowledge of Ruby on Rails or familiarity with an equivalent web framework.
- have a nearly-unhealthy attention to detail.
- thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Specific skills required:
- XHTML, CSS, Javascript (Prototype/Scriptaculous), web standards
- Photoshop, Illustrator
Nice to have:
- Ruby on Rails, BDD/TDD, RSpec, Selenium
- Flash, Google Analytics, SEO
