A young consumer web start-up in private beta started by Harvard grads is looking for a smart, motivated Ruby on Rails developer for a senior position with equity involvement. Looking for a full-time worker compelled by the opportunity of a fast moving business / development job with an excellent team. The company offers a new take on traditional paper correspondence. It is in a similar space to Evite, Eventbrite and Kintera – but targets a large, unaddressed segment of the market. The business model is a mix of branded advertising and commission revenue. Company is in NYC, remote applicants welcome to apply. Position begins 9/15/08.
Who You Are:
Self-starting developer who has the initiative to plan and execute product improvements while helping to grow an initial beta into a robust application.
You Have:
- worked on at least one commercial RoR website in the past
- the ability and desire to learn new languages and frameworks
- familiarity/experience with Javascript a plus
- experience working in a team environment
