(New York, NY) We’re a non-profit open source software incubator. Looking for a talented web-designer to build beautiful, intuitive interfaces that people really use. You will join our close-knit design team.
Among our projects:
-toolkit for social change groups
-gis server for modelling / collaborative mapping
-blog/video portal for public space reclamation in NYC
You:
-Strong design sense and toolbox ((X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, Photoshop, Illustrator).
-Self-motiveated and self-organizing, and keen to work in a small, smart team.
- Can pick up a mockup and make it real.
-Love testing, revising, polishing ’til it shines.
- Care about semantic markup, standards, usability, and work that matters.
Knowledge of microformats, other emerging standards, a big plus.
