The Open Planning Project is a ‘dot-org,’ a non-profit tech incubator. We build open source software with high public value. Our work is shaping a more democratic and transparent society.
We are looking for a talented web designer to join our tight-knit design team. You will build intuitive, reliable (and beautiful) interfaces for tools that people really use.

• Portfolio that highlights your strong design sense.
• Bulletproof toolbox, including (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, design suite.
• Fluid communication skills, and the ability to work directly with clients.
• Success taking a project from idea to prototype to go-live.
• Passion for semantic markup, web standards, usability, and work that matters.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Knowledge of micro-formats and other emerging standards, a big plus.
