FT Frontend Web Developer Role
Company – The Health Central Network
- Work within a well-funded, late stage start-up environment funded by VC luminaries like IAC, Polaris Ventures, The Carlyle Group, Sequoia, and Allen and Co

- Build the technology needed to create and sustain online consumer health sites that will provide consumer health services in a unique and differentiated way
Responsibilities
- Develop HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-based web user interfaces and standalone web applications
- Assist with integration of web UI components into backend application code
- Work with web designers, content producers, and other application developers throughout the application development lifecycle to ensure the best possible consumer user experience
- Participate in a small development team to carry a concept from wireframes to launch
Qualifications
- Experienced with XHTML, CSS, JS, Prototype and AJAX
- Deep understanding of tableless web development
- Must have great problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with any of the following a plys: Ruby on Rails, XSLT, PHP
- Not afraid to dive into the code
- Highly flexible and extremely efficient; doesn’t mind multiple iterations on the way to the right answers
- Comfortable working closely with developers in small team environment on tight deadlines
