The Congressional Research Service Office of Technology is seeking a Web Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of web sites that serve the research and information needs of the Members and staff of the Congress and the staff of CRS. If you are selected for this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining web sites, designing user interfaces, developing web applications, conducting web analytics, drafting documentation, and performing other tasks related to web development. These tasks support Congressional and CRS users in processes related to legislative, policy and analytic research, reference research, finances, and/or personnel, as well as special initiatives.
Candidates with a background in modern markup practices (i.e., XHTML, CSS, Web Standards), Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Client- and Server-Side scripting and programming (e.g., ASP.Net, C#, Ajax, Javascript), web-optimized graphic design, and enterprise-level Content Management Systems (e.g., Moss 2007, Stellant, Open Text) are encouraged to apply.
