Groundspeak is seeking a candidate with strong technical problem resolution skills, a solid understanding of network topologies, network security, PC hardware and Microsoft-based servers, applications, and services. The candidate should be comfortable with performance monitoring and be proactive about recommending upgrades and improvements to the infrastructure. The candidate will primarily be required to support and troubleshoot Microsoft server/workstation based systems and networks at both the Groundspeak office and co-location facility.
Requirements
* Extensive Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems experience including Active Directory
* Complete understanding of TCP/IP including security, routing, and layer-3 switching technologies
* Complete understanding of TCP/IP services including NAT, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, etc.
* Experienced with backup tools such as Symantec Backup Exec
* Experienced with server hardware and monitoring tools such as HP Systems Insight Manager
* Understanding of wireless networks and wireless security
Additional desired skills
* Previous 24×7 Network Operations experience
* Cisco hardware and IOS experience
* VoIP experience
