Responsible for commercial software product development for a core, high growth Rockwell Automation product line. This is an industry-leading product that has won numerous awards for innovation and usability. The position is located in a modern facility with a fitness center, cafeteria, and outdoor wooded walking paths.
In this position you will design and develop new software features with a focus on sequential control for batch and continuous manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include providing technical and team leadership of a development team from requirements definition through product release, spanning multiple product releases. The work typically involves highly complex system design or product architecture design involving other teams in multiple geographic locations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 12 years experience in a software product development environment.
• Has significant domain knowledge of, and direct experience with sequential control in batch or continuous manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Requirements analysis and definition, and functional specification of features.
• Experience with MFC, COM, and .NET.
• Experience with C++ and architecting modular software.
• Proven application of object-oriented designs.
• Proficient in data structures and algorithms.
