Senior Instructional Technologist
Dartmouth’s Academic Computing division seeks an experienced and enterprising person to join its Curricular Computing team. The senior instructional technologist will work directly with faculty in the Arts & Sciences and our three professional schools to look for innovative ways to apply information technology to the enterprise of learning. The person in this position is a senior project leader, with a portfolio of initiatives involving diverse technologies such as web projects, digital media resources, as well as classroom technology. We are looking for someone to successfully lead innovative projects that blend information technology resources with effective pedagogical strategies.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in assisting faculty with instructional technology and a portfolio of successful projects at previous institutions. The candidate will have six years of relevant experience in working with instructional technology in higher education. We are looking for someone with skills and experience in building web sites and in web technologies such as XHTML and CSS. Experience in architecting and designing web sites is a definite plus, as is experience in helping to administer a course management system. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with and support a diverse range of clients.
