As chief information architect for Cisco.com, you’ll have an opportunity to work with segments as diverse as consumer, small business, enterprise IT, and online business services and you’ll be contributing at the heart of an internationally respected web site in the company that created the Human Network. You’ll work with Cisco’s Cisco.com, WebEx, LinkSys, and Scientific Atlanta teams and others to build a unified view of Cisco products and services and invent new experiences for visitors as they work, live, learn and play.
Key skills for this position include:
Solid experience solving real world IA problems for consumer or business web sites. (Experience with both is a plus.)
Strong curiosity, a bent for experimentation, and a zest for learning from your own projects and best practices of others
Proven cross-group collaboration skills
Experience leading brainstorming activities such as whiteboarding exercises, customer needs mapping, and design mapping activities.
Extensive experience creating wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps and other common IA artifacts using tools such as InDeisgn or Visio
Experience working with and creating labeling systems for large web sites
Experience applying usability learnings and other user research to new or existing designs
Some experience with behavioral targeting, personalization, portal experiences, extranet experiences and B2B commerce is a strong plus.
Requires a BA or equivalent experience and 8-10 years relevant industry experience. Degree in cognitive sciences or information architecture/design is a strong plus.
