We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the Front Doors user experience team at Yahoo! The Front Doors team is responsible for the user interface design of My Yahoo! and the Yahoo! Front Page. This is your opportunity to join the team that with design the next generation of two of the most popular destinations on the internet. Your designs will be seen and used by millions of users around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide design leadership for key components of the user experience.
• Participate in early product requirements definition.
• Translate product requirements into an easy-to-use compelling design.
• Iterate on designs based on the results of usability testing and customer walkthroughs.
• Help to define long-term user experience strategy.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or similar degree. At least 5 years professional design experience.
• Strong design skills including screen layouts, information design, and product design.
• Ability to understand complex design problems and generate ideas to solve.
• Ability to translate ideas into tangible design.
• Solid understanding of the web and its capabilities/limitations (including HTML and CSS). Familiarity with JavaScript and DHTML a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross functional teams.
