Sr. Application Engineer, Social Networking
As an Application Engineer, you will be building the social networking applications that run on a wide array of phones and platforms. You will research social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, and work with our UI team to transform the traditional web application UI to rich experiences on mobile phones. You will also help the platform engineering team to define and shape Good Technology’s cross-platform application framework for mobile phones.
Skills
- Exceptional programming skills in C++/C and object oriented design
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong user interface design and implementation skills
- Experience with at least one UI and application framework
- Motivated self-learner, self directed, good problem solving skills
- A proven track record of shipping high quality products
- Ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
- 5-8+ years experience in commercial grade software development
- BS in computer science or equivalent
Preferred skills
- Experience building applications for one or more social networking sites
- Experience with developing applications for small hand-held devices and one or more mobile operating systems, including Symbian, Windows Mobile, Mac OS-X (iPhone), Palm OS and Android
- Experience with Objective-C and Cocoa
- Knowledge of web standards such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM.
