Skills Required
- 4-yr College degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
- MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 Adminstration Experience
- Data Definition Language, Data Manipulation Language, Standard Query Language
- Physical Database Design Concepts and Implementation Experience
- Database Performance Tuning
- Relational Data Modeling and Logical Database Design
- MS SQL Server Replication
- MS SQL Server Clustering
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
- 6+ years experience supporting MS SQL Server as Database Administrator
Preferred:
- Experience with Online Transaction Processing Systems
- Experience with MS SQL Server replication to Oracle
- Experience with other DBMS (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, MySQL)
- SQL Tuning experience
- Scripting experience
