We are looking for a User Interface Designer who is proficient in information architecture as well as user interface and experience. Your role on a design team will be to develop wireframes, rapidly prototype, and create flowcharts with the goal of improving information architecture and user interfaces. We expect you to know about current design trends, use established standards, and conduct research to improve the experience on our sites. You will dominate this realm as you will be hired as the core professional that makes an ideal user experience. This role is for multiple large-scale websites including SourceForge.net and Slashdot. If you love Open Source, Linux, really any techy geekery in general, you will feel at home. This position is also not limited by location and telecommuters are welcome.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of professional experience in user interaction and information architecture. You must also have excellent problem solving skills, ability to work on a team and fill in as needed. We expect experience with usability methodologies, user-centered design, dynamic interaction experiences, and proficiency with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, accessibility, and cross-browser and cross-platform environments
