Responsibilities
• Build customizations and demonstration applications to support account managers and other solutions engineers
• Develop technical demos for clients and for use at trade shows, conferences, and other events
• Interface with clients in person and on the phone to share advice and technical expertise
• Support clients in using ESRI developer technologies including ArcObjects, the ArcGIS Server Web ADF, ArcGIS Mobile SDK, and ArcWeb Services
• Work closely with account managers to understand client requirements and to help formulate appropriate solutions
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geography, computer science, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years of focused programming experience in C#, VB.NET, or Java
• Broad knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
• Ability to travel throughout the region (California, Nevada, Hawaii)
• One to two years of experience with ESRI technologies such as ArcGIS 8.x-9.x, ArcObjects, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server, or ArcWeb Services
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with GIS and technical terms and the ability to communicate technical information
• Strong analytical problem solving skills
Recommended Qualifications
• Attention to detail
• Experience with ArcGIS Server 9.0-9.2 APIs
• Experience programming solutions with Web services
• Familiarity with current trends in IT and software development such as service oriented architecture, Web 2.0, enterprise information systems, EJB, portals, application frameworks, Web services, REST, AJAX, etc.
