We are looking for a Software Test Engineer in our Santa Clara, CA location:
Description:
Conduct testing of real time process control software for Applied Materials’ wafer processing equipment.
In depth knowledge of hardware and software functionality for embedded applications.
Develop, validate, and deploy software test procedures for unit and regression software testing.
Implement and deploy software test automation mapping software test cases to customer requirements. Part of test automation will also include generating and validating software test scripts and deploying modern test automation tools.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree with at least five years of experience in software testing
Good communication and technical writing skills.
Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to work under pressure and without supervision, dedication, and good team skills
Hands on system, hardware, and computer skills
Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 2003 OS
Knowledge of some programming languages (C, C++, Java, Tcl, VB) is a plus.
Prior experience or familiarity with real time process control hardware and software, Test Automation tools, .NET GUI, wafer processing equipment
Factory automation in semiconductor wafer fab is desirable.
Previous Semiconductor industry experience is preferred
