CitationShares is seeking a software engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must enjoy developing algorithms and writing software. Candidate must be a good communicator and have a track record of reliably developing and maintaining complex systems both as a member of a team and independently.
Responsibilities include:
• Support internally developed software projects by developing, documenting, and maintaining a set of middle tier business logic components which utilize Web Services and XML data serialization techniques to provide presentation layer applications with needed data in an n-tier architecture.
• Work with development team members and end users to create business logic rules and help to expand on the code base of an internally developed rules engine.
• Write client/server applications which transport and parse large amounts of data.
• Work with internal and external development team members to create business applications, help gather basic requirements and prepare applications for QA testing.
• Write and optimize complex data queries and stored procedures to access and write to Oracle and MySQL Databases.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years experience in software and algorithm development
• Detailed knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Web Services, XML, and XSLT
• Experience with XML data serialization and de-serialization techniques
• Solid understanding of developing client/server and n-tier applications
• Must be familiar with at least one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MySql, SQL Server
• Excellent communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in software engineering and applications and systems development
• 4-year college degree preferred
*Candidates who do not meet ALL qualifications listed above will not be considered.
PLUSES
• Working knowledge of Apache Tomcat and awareness of Apache projects and libraries
• Working knowledge of PHP
• Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework and the C# language 2.0+
• Working knowledge of C/C++
• Airline industry experience is a plus, but not required.
COMPENSATION
The starting salary range for this position is $75-85K plus excellent benefits which include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 K with Company Match, Paid Time Off, and Paid Holidays. Relocation assistance may be offered.
