The position will be responsible for planning and executing test cycles for quality assurance based on project requirements. Candidate will work on, but not limited to, validation of new functionalities, profiling performance, running system/regression testing, using and developing test tools and automation, creating and tracking high quality bug reports and reporting project progress.
Requirements:
* 3-5+ years of software testing/QA experience including test automation design and implementation.
* Extensive experience in SIP and H.323 systems with solid knowledge of video conferencing applications.
* Strong debugging skills in VoIP/MCU environment, particularly for portability and multi-platforms.
* Ability to independently develop bank of VoIP test library.
* Strong knowledge of VoIP RFCs and their implementations; primarily in multimedia codecs (DNS, signaling SIP stack and RTP).
* Requires technical strength and the ability to communicate with the team to ensure versions tracking and features are properly integrated with the overall system.
* Will also be required to create and execute test cases as well as create scripts and defect reports using team standards.
* Extensive hands-on experience working with hosts in a UNIX environment and with packet analyzers like wireshark.
* Experience with industry-standard videophones (Tandberg, Polycom, Cisco, etc ) a plus.
* Understanding of high availability, performance, and scalability in a video/telephony network a plus.
