We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to leverage hands on experience with Java, J2EE, Linux, SQL, and Web2.0 technologies to deliver elegant comprehensive software development and implementation solutions to our Fortune 500 and start-up clients. Your work will be varied and challenging as you consult with clients to assess and address their needs, employing the latest and greatest in technological innovation. As a Software Engineer for Tacit Knowledge, you will be responsible for delivering software solutions in the following areas:
• Design and implement large, complex systems using Java, .Net, and Ruby;
• Develop productivity-enhancing tools and scripts for our clients’ software development infrastructure;
• Provide software build management and administration support;
• Communicate with clients, project leads and other software developers on multiple projects.
The Software Engineer skills and experience you will bring to Tacit Knowledge will include:
• 5—8 years experience developing software programs in a highly technical environment;
• Experience working with WebLogic, WebSphere, or ATG Dynamo, ideally in a retail or e-commerce environment;
• Experience providing expertise on networks, database optimization, and application frameworks;
• Familiarity with Scrum or Extreme Programming project methods;
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients, across a range of industries with diverse technologies;
• Experience in a professional consulting environment is a plus;
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
