Aspera, a fast growing and profitable software startup in the San Francisco Bay Area building leading edge data transport technology, is seeking an outstanding software engineer specializing in C++ and web technologies to join our development team. The particular position will create, design, and implement desktop, web based, and plug-in software utilizing Aspera’s core transport technology, using C++, QT, and Web technologies. Candidates with deep experience in cross-platform development (Windows/Mac/Unix) and a strong "eye" for UI design are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills:
* Excellent programming skills in C/C++
* Excellent record developing end-user applications, and experience with QT/cross platform GUI development a plus
* Web application programming (SOAP/REST) and Ruby on Rails knowledge a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to achieve results on tight timelines
* Desire to change the world of network data delivery!
Desired Background:
* B.Sc. or greater in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
* At least 2 Years of professional software development experience or graduate school equivalent
