Applied Visions has been building custom software applications for commercial and government customers since 1987. One of our focus areas, through our Secure Decisions Division, is Cyber Security.
As a result of recent contract wins we have an opening for an experienced developer of computer-based training applications. We are applying our cyber security expertise to create an environment for training tomorrow’s Cyber Warriors, as part of the development of the Air Force Cyber Command. The unique aspect of this work is the integration of traditional CBT with computer game technology to present a platform for learning that today’s young Cyber Warriors will find compelling and FUN, encouraging them to learn on their own.
You will need the following skills and experience:
- Experience with developing computer-based training, both content and delivery platform development;
- Understanding of educational systems and instructional design;
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS);
- Experience with, or understanding of, SCORM;
- C# programming, plus JAVA script experience neccessary to support SCORM
To be successful in this position you must have good written and verbal communications skills, be comfortable in making presentations to customers and at industry conferences, be able to track project progress and work closely with a project manager to stay within budget and feature set, work with graphics designers, and technically manage all aspects of game production.
All of our work is done here in our Northport offices, right on beautiful Northport Harbor on the north shore of Long Island (near the Nassau/Suffolk border). Occasional travel may be required.
You must also be a US Citizen willing and able to obtain a security clearance.
