TrialPay (http://www.trialpay.com) is a new payment platform that allows people to pay for one thing by trying something else. Over 1000 major companies now use TrialPay as a payment method, including Skype, Plaxo, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, Broderbund, WinZip, New York Times, Ziff Davis, etcetera.
We have over 30 employees, are growing rapidly, and are backed by some of the same venture firms and individuals behind Google, Skype, and Akamai — in addition to already having significant revenues and plenty of room for individual growth.
We are looking for world-class software engineers to design and build core backend and frontend components of our LAMP advertising and payment platform. The ideal candidate is a hard-working and versatile programmer with at least 1-2 years of related prior experience and a strong CS and/or math + statistics background. We feel that ambition, talent and fit with the team are more important qualities than formal experience so we’re willing to consider the right entry-level candidate.
Requirements and Description:
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Understanding the issues related to scalability (if not direct experience with scaling network applications such as load balancing, clustering, etc.)
- Strong systems programming skills and/or a C background and experience (academic ok) with operating systems internals, filesystems, programming language design, compilers, distributed systems or server architectures
- Knowledge of Perl, PHP, or Python
- Ability to hand-code CSS, JavaScript and HTML are big plusses
- Familiarity with payment processing a plus
