Position Summary & Major Responsibilities:
This individual will perform a variety of tasks relating to the design, development, testing and documentation of applications for electric utility companies focusing on our Outage Management System product line. This individual will play a role in the development of new tools and the enhancement of existing software. The ideal candidate will have work experience/knowledge developing end user applications with C#, WinForms and ASP.NET. The hired individual will have an opportunity to work on the Outage Management System product line, a key component of the Telvent Smart Grid Solution. Gartner recently identified Responder as the market’s fastest growing Outage Management System.
Education & Experience Preferred:
• BS in computer science (or related field with computer emphasis)
• Work experience/knowledge developing end-user applications with C#, WinForms and ASP.NET
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques.
• Experience with a commercial RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server
preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS and other ESRI products preferred.
• Experience with Outage Management Systems
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
