Responsibilities include:
- Implement security policies in software for Enterprise level customers
- Design and develop code for company products and internal applications
- Support current customers by fielding support requests
- Assist/take the lead in the design and implementation of new products
- Handle complex coding assignments using good judgment
- Perform software testing, integration, and automation
- Work with MRC clients to solve their problems
- Assist/take the lead in creating design documents
- Participate in interviewing future candidates
Non-technical requirements:
- Top notch engineering skills
- Self motivated with good inter-personal skills
- Ability to solve difficult problems in creative ways
- Desire to do work that actually makes a difference for people
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
- Permanent legal right to work in the United States
- Some travel to client sites for up to a week at a time may be required
- Position will be based in the central Massachusetts office.*
Technical Requirements:
- Some database administration experience (SQL Server, Oracle, mySQL, etc)
- Solid database design skills
- OO design
- High level language experience (ie: C, C++, C#, Java, etc)
- Scripting language experience (ie: Perl, PHP, Python, LISP, etc)
- Knowledge of both Unix and Windows
Nice to have:
- Windows and/or Unix shell scripting
- Technical certifications such as: ACE, ACI, CISSP, RHCE, RHCT, MCAD, MCSD, MCSE, or MCDBA
- .NET experience, specifically C# (Web application/ Web services experience a plus)
- Web based technology knowledge (HTML, javascript, XML, etc)
- ASP, VBScript, Perl, PHP, or Python
- Shrinkwrap software, Consulting, or security industry experience
Education:
- BS in Computer Science or a related field. MS a plus
