The Challenge: Given the widespread use of mission critical software in military systems and industry today, it is essential that these systems be protected against the threats of tampering and information disclosure to unauthorized entities.

The Need: Arxan is looking for qualified SOFTWARE ENGINEERS to facilitate the development and implementation of next generation software protections that protect against these threats.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prototype new security tools and mechanisms
• Prototype software and hardware based anti-tamper protections
• Evaluate & assess software security mechanisms
• Identify future threats and develop new attack tools
• Infuse new protection ideas (Guards, obfuscations, etc) into the engineering roadmap
• Conduct security reviews, consulting (strategic) & custom developments
• Must be willing to travel
QUALIFICATIONS: (must have)
• U.S. Citizenship required. Applicant may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information and special project clearances.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or other related field.
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, and/or embedded systems including VXWorks.
• Able to produce and edit code in a low-level assembly language, C/C++, Java, Win32 programming, .NET languages.
• Experienced with Visual Studio, Debuggers, Disassemblers, MS Office Suite software.
• 2+ years software development experience
QUALIFICATIONS: (desirable)
• Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or other related field
• Experience with Driver Development or Kernel-Level programming in a Windows, Linux, or VXWorks environment.
• Familiar with Encryption Protocols
• Experience with Reverse Engineering/”Cracking”, x86/Sparc/PowerPC assembly, embedded and RT systems
• Experience with Software Protection /Anti-Tamper techniques, US DoD and Intelligence Community Security, Debuggers (SoftICE, OllyDbg, etc), Disassemblers (IDA Pro, W32Dasm, ILDasm), Decompilers, Hardware/Software Emulator, Hex Editors, Memory Dump Tools (LordPE, ProcDump, etc)
• Compiler, linker, object module and executable file format knowledge at an internals level, with proprietary compilers (Microsoft, Green Hills, Wind River) and GNU tools, for Windows, Linux and VXWorks.
• Knowledge of .NET internals.
