Who We Need

Limelight Development is looking for a remarkable Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quickly-growing enterprise software company. Our ideal SDET is a strong developer with the innate ability to find weaknesses and track down flaws in software. Why manually test when you can write automation to do it for you? This is not your typical test environment. There are many different areas of concentration to dive into, a whole world of tools, languages, and technology to master, and a near-infinite amount of challenges to surpass. So if you enjoy working with smart, highly technical people, love writing code and have a deep passion for breaking software and finding vulnerabilities, then you’ll fit right in.

What you will do

• Plan and execute test plans & test cases for assigned feature areas
• Design and implement tools/frameworks to carry out test automation and support dev/test
• Isolate software problems and produce clear and detailed defect reports
• Analyze failures, debug through test, dev, and 3rd-party libraries, advocate bug fixes, and suggest/implement bug fixes
• Improve overall product quality by performing code analysis, code reviews, and analyzing code-coverage results.
• Work closely with PM and the development team on new features
• Gain expertise in a number of enterprise technologies (including but not limited to: operating systems (Windows & Linux), file systems, networks, SQL, Active Directory, LDAP, Exchange, SMB/Samba, IDS/IPS, etc.)
• Research and learn new technologies and unfamiliar systems independently in order to identify limitations and find weaknesses/vulnerabilities
• Work effectively in a multi-tasking and highly dynamic environment
• Continually improve knowledge of new technologies in the industry, including test tools, and new test methodologies
• Be highly involved in improvements and the direction of our product

What we are looking for

• Strong design and coding skills. No, really. We are only looking for developers with a deep understanding of how software works.

• Demonstrated analytical and investigative, problem-solving skills and the tenacity to work to the resolution of difficult tasks

• Ability to handle several areas of focus, learn quickly and work independently as well as with others
• Experience in model-based testing, smart fuzzing, fault-injection, or other advanced test methodologies a plu
