The position is with Univex Software the software development arm of The Univex Group. We are targeting undergraduate programmers still studying and want to work part time. Full time job seekers are also encouraged to apply with a salary expectation of 35-45k plus super, with regular pay rises and opportunities to take command of your own product.
The Univex Group is active in most aspects of IT and Telecommunications across Australia and New Zealand. We have recently commenced operation in the UK and expect to have an office in Canada in 2009. Univex is based in Ringwood East, where you will initially be located. We currently have three Software development entities, two in Australia and one in New Zealand. We occasionally send personnel for short overseas stints. You may land one of those over a summer break.
We offer undergraduates an opportunity to earn money whilst gaining experience in software development. Applications currently under development include Linux desktop applications, accounting interfaces, security applications, document management, automation, imaging, and e-commerce interfaces.

Targeted Disciplines and Selection Criteria:
Capable students from all year levels are encouraged to apply. Positive mental attitude, a passion for at least contributing to making a positive change through your career a distinct advantage as is a genuine interest in computing and operating systems. This position would best suit software engineering students. A minimum of 12 hours per week during semester is required, rising to full-time hours during breaks. Remuneration is dependent on skill level and will be above APESMA recommended rates.
