In Ft. Collins we are developing leading edge, sophisticated digital imaging products based around cutting-edge technologies in sensors, DSPs, optics, networking, and more. We are a small team, and looking for enthusiastic, innovative, and results-oriented people to join us and create the next generation of digital imaging products.
The explosive growth of Pelco and the Imaging Systems division in particular has led to needs for a software developer who is passionate about solving complex problems, in particular the design and development of embedded Linux kernel and driver software for high performance DSPs. We need great developers to join our world-class team!
Job Description:
Your primary responsibilities will be to develop firmware and software for our digital imaging platform and camera products. These include design and development of software, primarily Linux kernel and driver software that makes up the heart of our imaging systems platform and camera products. You will be involved in all aspects – design, development, test, deployment – of product generation, working in high powered teams of people to solve very challenging problems, using leading edge tools and state-of-the-art embedded systems.
Requirements:
• Embedded Linux kernel development experience
• Experience with design and development of embedded firmware, including drivers that are targeted for a DSP environment
• Proficient in the C++ and C programming languages
• Very creative problem solver
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, high-energy team environment
• Able to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form
• Minimum of three years software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years of equivalent work experience
Preferred:
• Masters Degree in Computer Science or 3 years of equivalent work experience
• Experience in other multitasking real time embedded operating systems such as VxWorks
• Knowledge of software development environments on Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of high-level, object-oriented design methodologies
• Some experience with hardware turn-on
