TRAX Tech Services, a division of TRAX International, seeks a senior software developer to work on commercial and government projects. TRAX Tech develops a variety of custom software solutions for retail, wholesale, manufacturing, non-profit, government and military customers. Our applications are very diverse (web- and desktop-based; deployed on Windows, OS X, and Linux; e-commerce to 3D graphics), offering a wide array of projects to challenge your skills.

You will work on every aspect of our projects, from test-first, model-driven development to ORM mapping to user interface design and build management. As a senior developer you will set the example and act as a mentor to other developers on the team.
Mandatory skills:
At least 4 years experience in object-oriented programming, specifically Java.
Well-versed in agile & pragmatic development practices, namely TDD.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Four-year degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
Ability to travel
Desired skills:
Experience with the following Java technologies and frameworks:
Eclipse IDE
Spring Framework & Spring MVC
Object/Relational Mapping Frameworks/APIs, specifically Hibernate/JPA
Unit Testing Frameworks
Maven/Ant
Servlet containers/application servers
Experience with OS X and Linux/Unix
Experience in other OO languages, C++, C#
Familiarity with client-side web technologies, e.g. CSS & JavaScript
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Employees are required to obtain/hold a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
