Dimagi ( www.dimagi.com) is a socially conscious, young software firm
focused on using technology to improve healthcare in the developing
world. Our projects include managing HIV care and immunization
records, building an electronic medical record system in Zambia, and
working on medical informatics in the United States.
We are looking for a full-time programmer to join our core team and
lead development on various projects. The ideal candidate will be
someone who does not like the idea of working for a large organization
and enjoys multi-tasking. Our project timelines range from weeks to
years, but we have a fast-paced environment and are always working on
multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will also be someone
who wants to make a difference in the fight against the HIV epidemic
and improve healthcare in general for developed and developing
countries alike.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming skills in .NET and / or Java (and the ability to learn
- the other)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent technical documentation
- Self-managed
- Ability to communicate effectively
Desired Skills:
- Database programming knowledge
- ASP.NET / JSP programming experience
- PDA development experience
- GUI design experience
This person will have the opportunity to take on the following roles in the organization:
