What will you be doing?
As a Software Architect at Definition6, you’ll be bridging the gap between the technical and business process. Your breadth of experience and familiarity with best practices enable you to deliver custom, reusable solutions for our customers (on time and on budget!) You’ll participate in the complete software development cycle from requirements analysis to deployment. You’ll be responsible for managing offshore resources to implement your solution.
Technical acumen is a must — you should be used to using UML as a primary work tool. We’d like for you to be a seasoned java programmer, who is comfortable jumping into the code with your team.
It’s critical that you have outstanding communication skills. You’ll speak to clients on the phone regularly, and occasionally meet face to face. These face to face meetings often occur in Europe, so you need to be comfortable with the idea of international travel.
A few prerequisites:
J2ee or .NET architecture / design experience for web-based solutions
Experience with software effort estimation
Familiarity with EA tools and processes
Proficiency in version control principles, with specific knowledge of Subversion
